Clubs and Activities
There are a wide variety of co-curricular activities for pupils of all ages during lunchtime and after school. These activities are included in the school fees unless specifically specified - please see the PDF at the bottom of this page.
You will now know that we are using SOCS, through My School Portal (MSP), to register your children. All information regarding external offerings are below. All information regarding internal (Junior School) is now on MSP 'My Child's Calendar' under activities.
Gymnastics with Rob Payne - Tuesday

Gymnastics club has been running as a popular co-curricular club for 8 years at Leicester Grammar and offers our pupils the chance to explore movements that are core to many sports as well as their physical well-being. Run by a former international gymnast Rob shares his experience by encouraging pupils to explore gymnastic based shapes, jumps, rolls, balances, steps and vaults. Children develop their self-confidence and are encouraged to push their boundaries whilst performing arial skills under Robs guidance.
A class for pupils in year 2 runs from 15:00 - 16:00 followed by a class for pupils in years 3-5 from 16:00 - 17:00. Spaces are restricted to conform with coach/children ratios.

This Cheerleading Club, held at Leicester Grammar Junior School started in 2015 and has been incredibly successful. The Cheerleaders have produced some amazing routines and have the chance to showcase their routines throughout the year during Assembles, Sports Week and at a Christmas Dance Show.
The children will learn a mixture of stunts, jumps, tumbling skills as well as dance routines, helping with their confidence through a way of having fun, so please sign up. Click here for more information.

Lemon Jelly’s Drama Club at Leicester Grammar Junior School is the perfect place for students to build confidence, develop acting skills, and have fun in a creative and supportive environment. Through improvisation, script work, character development, and performance techniques, LGJS pupils will learn how to bring stories to life on stage while improving communication and teamwork.

Indian Dance with Amar Mistry (Nupur Arts) - Thursday

Join us, Nupur Arts Dance Academy, in our vibrant, energetic and intricate Bollywood dance club. Our Indian dance classes are run by specialist teachers who incorporate a traditional and folk style of Indian dance with upbeat modern and global influences.
We are also a qualified Arts Award centre, so all children will get the opportunity to gain an Arts Award qualification awarded by Trinity college, London eventually contributing towards their UCAS points. Alongside multiple performance opportunities at our academy’s annual shows and external performances throughout the year!

After-school tennis sessions will run on Wednesday for the first half of Trinity Term for 4 Weeks.

Hockey - Wednesday
As part of our partnership with Leicester Grammar School, Leicester City Hockey runs hockey sessions for pupils of Leicester Grammar Junior School at Leicester Grammar School on Wednesdays from 5.15-6.15pm. These sessions are free for LGJS pupils to attend and players are also welcome to join the club as members if they wish to be selected for club teams and competition.
